The summer sound system adventure on the Adriatic continues with the second edition of the Sea Sound Festival, from July 17–20 2025, at Martinska in Šibenik, Croatia. This fresh festival, built on a long-standing tradition, presents its first headliners: the legendary Channel One and P.A.I.N., pioneers of punk/ska/reggae. These music acts from the United Kingdom are the first announced artists for the second edition of Sea Sound Festival.
Additionally, three sound systems have been introduced to enrich this year’s festival stages: Seasplash Sound System, Roadtripper Sound System, and Prevara Sound System!
Channel One (UK)
Thursday July 17
Sea Sound Festival is bringing the legendary Channel One Sound System to Martinska. Led by Mikey Dread, the original selector, who presents an exclusive vinyl selection played on a single turntable, accompanied by various singers and MCs. The music is enriched with Rastafarian chants. They deliver a unique selection of conscious reggae, exclusive dubplates, and energetic steppas rhythms. Channel One’s mission is to “break down barriers with reggae music,” a goal they have achieved through extensive travels and performances for new audiences worldwide. Channel One Sound System is one of the most renowned sound systems in the UK and an essential part of the Notting Hill Carnival, where they have been performing since 1982. The sound system was founded in the late ‘70s when Michael and Trevor Bailey took it over from their father. They are also residents at Village Underground, one of London’s top clubs. With their uplifting music and powerful message, Channel One always brings an incredible vibe to the crowd.
P.A.I.N. (UK)
Friday, July 18
Formed in 1995, P.A.I.N. have firmly kept their flag flying on the DIY mast. The last time they played in Croatia was way back in 2003, and these punk/ska/reggae pioneers are among the most influential bands in shaping the scene in this region. From the very beginning, they established themselves as a beloved festival band, both in Europe and at home in the UK. They have released numerous singles and EPs, with their three studio albums standing out the most: Oh My God, Ouch, and their latest, Crisis Time, which was hailed by critics as a long-awaited masterpiece. The band no longer tours as extensively as they once did, so don’t miss this rare chance to experience this group of “scruffy degenerates” live. Get ready to dance until you drop with this one-of-a-kind band!
Three sound Systems
Seasplash Sound System, Roadtripper Sound System and Prevara Sound System this year too, will ensure impeccable sound and a fantastic atmosphere on festival stages. Handcrafted, perfectly tuned, these colorful sound systems have already recorded many festivals, parties, and concerts in their membranes.
