The second of the three sound systems that will enrich the Sea Sound Festival is the Roadtripper Sound System. You can experience its powerful bass at Martinska in Šibenik, Croatia from July 17 to 20, 2025, at the second edition of the Sea Sound Festival.
Roadtripper Sound System was founded in 2011 when friends Vedran Šimunec (Little Vex) and Luka Sertić (Roadtripper3000) met at a party in Sisak. A great friendship was formed, leading to the creation of RoadTrippers, an acoustic reggae, ska, and rock band. After years of performing as an acoustic duo at various festivals, clubs, and restaurants, the idea emerged to create a sound system that would bring together the people of Sisak – and in whole Croatia – to enjoy and spread dub and bass culture. The construction of the sound system began at the end of 2018 and was completed in mid-2019, featuring handcrafted six scoops, four kicks, and four mid-top boxes. The entire sound system was built in California and then shipped halfway across the world in containers, completing the longest journey of its existence. Over more than five years on the scene, Roadtripper Sound System has performed at numerous festivals and clubs in Croatia, as well as in Bosnia, Slovenia, Italy, and Austria. Along the way, their speakers have hosted sets from some of the biggest names in the global dub scene, including Weeding Dub, Zion Train, and Fikir Amlak. As their journey continued, Luka and Vex welcomed new members into the Roadtripper collective. Today, alongside the original duo, the crew also includes San Andrea, Feeks, and Flico. Voted the best sound system in the region by the public, they won their first electronic music award “Ambasador,” in 2024.
