Fat Freddy’s Drop, the fascinating group from New Zealand, will perform in Zagreb on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Museum of Contemporary Art (Muzej suvremene umjetnosti). This marks the band’s first-ever performance in the Croatian capital, brought to you by Sea Sound and NO Jazz Festivals.
Over a career spanning 25 years, Fat Freddy’s Drop have earned worldwide recognition as one of the most authentic and dynamic live bands around. Their euphoric performances leave audiences breathless—both literally and figuratively. Determined to forge their own musical path, the group has remained proudly independent, turning down numerous offers from major labels and releasing all their albums through their own imprint, The Drop. Emerging from Wellington’s underground dance scene in 1999, Fat Freddy’s Drop have evolved into a genre-defying powerhouse that regularly sells out shows across the UK, Europe, Australia, and of course, their native New Zealand.
The Zagreb premiere of this exceptional band will take place on the semi-open plateau stage of the Museum of Contemporary Art. The concert is part of Fat Freddy’s Drop’s tour celebrating the 21st anniversary of their debut album Based on a True Story—the record that first brought them international acclaim.
