At the second edition of the Sea Sound Festival, 17-20 July 2025, at Martinska in Šibenik, the Kranks are performing live on stage, Friday July 18! Who are the Kranks? Kranks is a band of unique musical expression, formed in Varaždin in early 2021, it’s members were active in several bands from Southwest Croatia. The music they play is called jungle punk, and it features a saxophone, trumpet, drums, and two bass guitars. In early 2022, a 6-song EP was recorded and released on Bandcamp called “Take One under Ground”, which was rated with maximum ratings (10/10) on the independent portals Muzika.hr and Terapija.net. The EP also found itself on the annual top-lists of music critics as one of the best domestic albums released in 2022, and in the print edition of the weekly Nacional. In early 2023, the recording of the new album began, in the meantime, the working recordings were published on Bandcamp and all streaming services in the form of a mini-album called “Almost Peeel Sessions Vol.1”. They recorded a single “Šećer” with the famous Istrian artist and singer Barbara Munjas, the band’s latest album was released under the title “3.15 AM”. With their jungle punk and quirky line-up with a screaming brass section, two horned basses, thundering drums and vocal “u red” they’ll rock the hardest at the Sea Sound Festival.
